SUMMER DANCE WORKSHOP – Tuesday, August 1- Friday, August 4
In addition to our championship dancers who are expected to attend, there is also a workshop group for our advanced beginner/novice/prizewinner dancers. This is a wonderful opportunity for them. Everyone will receive an email with all the times/prices next week. Information is available at class, if you have any other questions.
SUMMER CLASS SCHEDULE
Our summer schedule starts on Tuesday, June 27th, and Thursday, June 29th and continuing for all, including new beginners on Thursdays, starting July 13th at 6pm through Thursday, August 17th, in St. Mary’s in Dumont on Washington Avenue. You only pay for each class you attend. FEES WILL BE $20, payable in cash. Please bring your payment in an envelope, labeled with your child’s name, at each class.
These classes are great to help keep the dancer practicing their material and also so as to not forget their steps. They can help a child to advance a little in material they might not yet have mastered. They are very useful if your child plans on competing in competitions during the summer months. Also, if you know of someone who has a child thinking about starting lessons, these classes help them and we, as teachers, ascertain their readiness and it gives them a head start on September. Lastly, anyone competing at Championship level or is planning on competing in the Regional Oireachtas should be attending these classes. At this level of competition, one cannot afford to take the summer off.
CEILI REPORT - is available at class. Since we didn’t have a large travel expense this year, we are doing the following, from our proceeds for those who supported our school dance and/or ceili. We are giving -
- 6 free full registrations
- 3 $100 workshop scholarships
- Also, we are mainly subsidizing our summer workshop so it will continue to remain the same price as it has for the past 7 years!!
The drawing for our workshop scholarships will take place when all the names of participants are in.
