SUMMER DANCE WORKSHOP – Monday, July 29- Thursday, August 1 In addition to our championship dancers who are expected to attend, there is also a workshop group for our advanced beginner/novice/prizewinner dancers. This is a wonderful opportunity for them. Everyone will receive an email with all the times/prices this asap. Information is available at class, if you have any other questions. SUMMER CLASS SCHEDULE Our summer schedule starts on Tuesday, June 25th, and continuing for all, including new beginners on Tuesdays, starting July 9th at 6pm through Tuesday, August 13th, in St. Mary’s in Dumont on Washington Avenue. You only pay for each class you attend. FEES WILL BE $25, payable in cash for all returning dancers. New beginners will be $20 per class (45 min). Please bring your payment in an envelope, labeled with your child’s name, at each class. These classes are great to help keep the dancer practicing their material and also so as to not forget their steps. They can help a child to advance a little in material they might not yet have mastered. They are very useful if your child plans on competing in competitions during the summer months. Also, if you know of someone who has a child thinking about starting lessons, these classes help them and we, as teachers, ascertain their readiness and it gives them a head start on September. Lastly, anyone competing at Championship level or is planning on competing in the Regional Oireachtas should be attending these classes. At this level of competition, one cannot afford to take the summer off. PLEASE SEE ONLINE CALENDAR TO SEE WHEN YOUR CLASS LOCATION ENDS IN JUNE. CEILI Proceeds from the ceili will be used for workshop subsidies, workshop scholarship, 5 free full registrations, class costume subsidies, start-up for our Feis and accounting and other business expenses for the PTA accounts. We also take an ad for the National American Championships and make donations from our school where appropriate. The drawing for our workshop scholarship will take place when all the names of participants are in. We also will announce the 5 free registration winners shortly! 7th ANNUAL BERGEN COUNTY IRISH FESTIVAL We are all so very excited for the 7th annual Irish Festival to be held in Bergen County is taking place on Saturday, June 29th, 2019 at Overpeck County Park in Ridgefield Park, NJ. Hopefully, all our Oireachtas dancers are supporting this event as over the years you have been the recipients of most of our fundraising through travel stipends and new school costumes. Oireachtas dancers: we also need to know if you are NOT performing at the Dance so the show can be put together (email me). You also received a letter requesting a donation to help purchase basket gifts or for donations of themed baskets. Please send in to class any of your gifts/donations, labeled clearly with your name ASAP. Please try and get donations from local business so we can create some great prize baskets. You can print copies of that letter out to solicit from local businesses, restaurants, etc. If everyone could solicit even 1 donation from a local business we would have an amazing raffle! On the letter there are also lots of basket ideas! The better the prizes, the more successful our raffle will be!

Please let any other alumni families know about the dance if you can that might not be on my email list. This year we are please to be honoring Chris McLoughlin Jr.! UPCOMING EVENTS Upcoming Feisanna - To get more information about the upcoming entire year you may log on to www.NAFC.com. Register online or print out each syllabus and send registration immediately as many feises have a cut off number. Don’t forget next month we will be having a number of dance outs for St. Patrick’s Day. Oireachtas/Prizewinner Dancers: Please leave your calendars available to be able to dance at these shows. They provide an important source of funds for our dancers and it is imperative we have enough dancers to participate at each of the shows.
